FRCC’s Larimer Campus hosted a fabulous fashion show on September 15. With students serving as models and the school’s own clothing closet inspiring many of the outfits that walked the stage. Students and faculty watched the models walk the runway, talked with vendors, and cheered for their peers.
Student program coordinator G McDonald organized the event to draw attention to the school’s clothing closet and to encourage students to donate clothes. McDonald also wanted the models to have fun and inspire the students to create stylish outfits for the show. “I love putting a little color in anything I wear,” said Ella, a student model at the event.

Local vendors also had tables at the event, showing off their handmade jewelry, art, stickers, pottery, trinkets, and more. Many were former FRCC students who McDonald invited to join and advertise their products. Cordelia Elise, a vendor at the event, had this to say: “I really like the energy that everyone brings, and it’s so nice also to be a part of the community college and support the students here and give them something fun to do after classes.”

“It kinda blew me away with how many people came out to support the students. It made me feel like all my work was worth it, and it felt like the students were seen and validated, and they were celebrated. So that’s what it’s all about,” McDonald said.
The FRCC Larimer campus’s clothing closet is located in the Longs Peak Student Center in between the cafe and fishbowl. Students and staff are welcome to shop for free.
