Movie Adaptation of Community TV Show to be Filmed at FRCC

The popular comedy show Community started principal photography at Front Range Community College (FRCC) earlier today. Well known is the show’s gag of 6 seasons and a movie, but little is known of the plans to film the predicted movie at FRCC.

The local community college was chosen due to its similarities to the college in the original television show, as well as the on-brand nature of the school being ridiculous.

Former showrunner and Director of the upcoming movie, Dan Harmon, warns students not to “bother the film crew or stare into Alison Brie’s eyes.”

Alison Brie, actor for the character of Annie Edison remarks on how FRCC, “doesn’t look anything like the [Paramount] studio” as well as commenting, “There is literally no reason for [the movie] to be filmed in Colorado.”

Alongside the news of the location, an interview with Harmon revealed that James Rash who played the beloved Dean Pelton will be replaced with Austin Butler. Butler’s performance in Dune: Part Two, according to Harmon, was “Exactly what [Dean Pelton] ought to be.”

Other casting news, Donald Glover is set to be replaced by popular music artist Childish Gambino. Though Childish Gambino has little acting experience to Donald Glover’s catalog of movies, tv shows, and filmmaking experience, fans seem to be adjusting to the change.

In an interview with a fan of the show, an FRCC student told The Front Page, “I don’t care that Glover and Mr. Gambino look nothing alike, I just hope he fills the massive shoes left by Glover.”

How the ergonomics of production will work and how it will affect students set to be settled later this week.
