Trunk or Treat and We’re Wolves Halloween Party

The Front Range held an event for Halloween this year, inviting the community to fun activities for kids and adults from trick-or-treating, to booths and activities. There was a large crowd that showed up for festivities, ready to have fun.

Trunk or treat

In the early morning, there were a multitude of cars set up for the Trunk-or-Treat event to hand out candy. Each car had its own theme, and people who handed out candy wore costumes to match. A lot of the students were there as a credit for their history classes – so they tied their studies into their theme.

Kid activities

For kids, there were booths set up for photos and face paint. There was a food table in the center with Jersey Mike’s sandwiches and a wide selection of sodas. There was also a pumpkin painting booth and many other activities to keep kids entertained.

Adult activities

The main study room was cleared and massage tables were set up offering a way to relax. There was also an area dedicated primarily to adults and older kids, with drinks with space to sit down and listen to Halloween music.

Other events

There were two different costume contests, one for kids, one for adults. They each had three winners. The audience picked them, voting by applause.

Then there was a science event where they showed off some chemistry experiments with cool results. A chemical reaction that caused gel to form in a beaker, and an experiment that made jars and test tubes erupt with foam. They also froze a pumpkin in liquid nitrogen and smashed it. Their last stunt was in launching a plastic water jug into the air.

The final event was a drag show put on by the House of Ovis. The drag show involved three dances and one stagehand. They performed four different solo dances, then a group dance to the “time warp from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

Overall there was a lot of audience participation in all of the events, which added to the atmosphere. It was very lively, the crowd full of individuals who enjoyed all of the events and the fun of Halloween.
