Those interested in serving on FRCC Westminster’s Student Government Association can still garner a seat at the table in a special election starting today.
“If someone was hoping to run and didn’t, they can write themselves in and ask others to do as well, and still join the SGA,” Amanda Craig, SGA president, wrote in an early morning email.
SGA has its officers in place from the election last spring; available positions on the ballot are for representatives.
Polls open 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 5 p.m. today; and 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Voting today and Wednesday takes place either outside the Student Organization Center or, depending on availability, at the Rotunda. You can also take advantage of your opportunity to vote Thursday at the SGA table at Student Involvement Day.
Voters cast their ballots on iPads at the SGA tables.
“The online form automatically counts the ballots for us,” Craig stated. “(The Office of) Student Life will look over the election results.”
SGA asks that students running write-in campaigns stay 30 feet back from the voting tables.
Results will be posted Friday in the Student Organization Center.
