Halloween Horror Writing Competition

Rules / guidelines:

  • Your story must have horror elements.
  • No more than 1,000 words in your story
  • Gore is allowed, but make sure it contributes to the story. Gore which is seen as gratuitous or unnecessary may be marked down by our judges.
  • Human-written submissions only – no zombies or robots.
  • Contest is open to all FRCC students (including dual/concurrent enrollment).
  • Deadline: Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 at 11:59PM.
  • Send submissions to frontpage@frontrange.edu, preferably as a .docx file, although any text file will be accepted. Please send your story as an attachment to the email, rather than a link to a document on Google Docs or Word Online.
  • Writers retain all rights to their story.

Prize:

The first place winner will receive an Amazon Kindle Paperweight.

    Seth Ciancio is the Managing Editor of The Front Page, studying computer science with the aim of transfering to CU Boulder. He wrote for his student newspaper in high school and opted to do the same at FRCC.
