Did you ever want a bite to eat at someplace off-campus, but just didn’t know where to look?
Thankfully, some eateries near FRCC’s Westminster Campus offer an array of food and drink options, which can satiate your hunger.
This report will feature several restaurants and/cafes within the vicinity of the college that I’ve visited, so that next time you want to snag something in between classes, or at any point during the day, you know some places to check out.

- Zoe’s Coffee House

To start, there is Zoe’s Coffee House. Located on 11225 Decatur Street, this establishment primarily serves caffeinated beverages like espressos, coffees, and teas.
Besides beverages, there are also breakfast and lunch items for purchase, such as muffins, sourdough sandwiches, potato chips, and pastries, like brownies and cookies.
Keep in mind that the prices for their products can vary greatly. For example, when I visited the restaurant, I bought a small-sized iced coffee, which cost $3.59.
Then, when I complemented the coffee with a peanut butter and jelly croissant, which cost $8.25, making for a pricey breakfast. A full view of the cafe’s menu can be found here.
Lastly, the coffeehouse’s hours of operation are 7 AM – 4 PM Monday – Thursday, 7:30 AM – 9 PM on Friday, 7 AM – 9 PM on Saturday, and 8 AM – 4 PM on Sunday.
- Donutsville Bakery & Cafe

When you think of the classic pair of coffee and donuts, this is the place to go. As the name implies, Donutsville Bakery & Cafe goes beyond offering coffee drinks, with other delicacies like milk tea, smoothies, and assorted donuts.
Conveniently found on 5191 W 112th Avenue, this pastry shop satisfied my sweet tooth when I craved something sugary.
I went for a blueberry cake donut priced at $2.99, along with a medium mango smoothie for $5.99, making for a delightful snack.
Moreover, the bakehouse also sells breakfast and lunch sandwiches, such as the Ham, Egg & Cheese Bagel, or the BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato) on a croissant, if you desire something without sweetness. Here is a complete look at their menu. The establishment is open every day from 6 AM – 4 PM.
- GQUE BBQ

Prided as “Colorado’s Championship Barbeque”, GQUE BBQ has a location on 5160 W 120th Avenue, serving a la carte meats, sandwiches, and a multitude of sides.
Although the dishes here may be a little more expensive, they can make for a satisfying midday meal or for supper.
One day, I stopped by in the evening to order a sandwich combo meal: consisting of a pulled pork sandwich, a side of apple coleslaw, bottled water, and a cup of original BBQ sauce.
Before tax, the bill totaled out to be $17.79, which seemed acceptable for the amount of food I received. This webpage is one place that contains the restaurant’s menu.
Keep in mind, though, that the availability of products may differ by location. The hours for the barbecue eatery in Westminster are 11 AM – 8 PM.
- Einstein Bros Bagels

Seeking someplace for a morning pick-me-up? This may be the spot for you. Found on 120th & Sheridan, this Einstein’s Bagels location serves a multitude of breakfast foods to help start your day.
Besides bagels, you can also find pleasantries like egg sandwiches, hot and iced coffee, muffins, and flavored juices.
I opted for the egg and cheese sandwich at $7.59, along with a medium hot coffee for $3.19, providing me with the energy needed to start the day.
While the bagel cafe primarily sells morning cuisine, there are also some enticing lunch items, like the pizza bagel, pepperoni, or the turkey and cheddar sandwich. The rest of the menu can be found on the company’s website.
