Things to do for Christmas in Colorado

 With the holiday season right around us, there is a lot to do in Colorado when it comes to this time of year. If you are looking for something to do this holiday season with friends or family, in this article, I will let you know what’s going on all around Colorado this holiday season. 

Colorado is such a beautiful place when it turns December and there are always fun things to do this holiday season with friends and family. I will give you the scoop on what’s happening and tell you the price for some of these events you’ll have to pay. 

1. Blossoms of Light

This is a light and color display at the Denver Botanic Gardens. This is always a must-see if you are someone who hasn’t been there yet. The Botanic Gardens always host some very cool events and this is one of them. If you live in the Denver area, then this is a perfect thing to do with friends and family.  

Here are some dates to notice:  Nov. 20 – Jan. 12, 4:30-9 p.m. (closed Nov. 28 & Dec. 25)

The cost of this event is: $21 – $25 

2. Breckenridge’s holiday lights

Talk about seeing some lights! If the Blossoms of Lights was not enough for you, then this should be next on your list. Breckenridge’s holiday lights are always a must-see and with over 59,000 feet of LED lights illuminating the historic downtown area, you will feel like you’re walking through Christmas Wonderland. If you want to spice it up a bit, they also do a Race Of The Santas! Before they transform the whole place with 59,000 feet of LED lights, they have Santa look-alikes run down Main Street in a race to kick off the holiday season. If you want to participate in the Santa look-alike run, you will have to register beforehand on their website!

The cost of this event: $30 Adults 18+ $10 Kids 10-17

3. Denver Zoo Lights 

If there’s one place that is a must-see for the holiday season it’s the Denver Zoo Lights. You have 80 acres of lights that are always breathtaking to see. 

Here are some dates to notice: November 23 – January 5

The cost of this event: Adults + Seniors: $25.00 Youth: $18.00 Youth 2 and Under Free

4. Denver Christkindlmarket 

This is an outdoor European village with everything you’ll need for the holiday season. All the gifts and treats you would ever need are right here. 

Here are some dates to notice: November 22 – December 23 

The cost of this event: Free! This is open to the public! Look online for places that accept reservations. 

5. Skate in the Park at Acacia Park 

If you’re looking to skate around the park then look no further! One of the best parks to skate in! Acacia Park has hosted a Skate in the Park for quite some time. Every year when the season comes, they host this in the park. Get out there with some friends and family and skate the night away.
