Front Range Community College is known for hosting elaborate and interesting events, and last week’s World Music Day jam session outside of the Student Life center was no exception.
“I was born with a crayon in my hand,” said Front Range Community College graphic design instructor Dale Rosenbach. “I was an introvert as a kid and art has always been my friend. It started with me drawing cartoons until I was the best artist in my class.”
According to communication instructor Michael Guilkey, “The most challenging aspect of public speaking is the anxiety that is associated with the actual ‘ACT’ of public speaking.”
At Front Range Community College, a communication credit is required for all students pursuing degrees. Students can choose between interpersonal communication and public speaking, the communication department’s most daunting offering.

“I think confidence is a big deal,” said Teresa Stuart, Career Success Center Coordinator at Front Range Community College’s Westminster campus. Stuart is hosting Career Success Week and a job fair on Tuesday, March 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Rocky Mountain Room.

Students at Front Range Community College’s Westminster campus pass the Coffee Den everyday on their ways to classes without a second glance. In just over a year, the Coffee Den has become part of the campus’ internal structure, and although students use its seating area as a comfortable study spot, they continue to purchase their coffee at large corporations. Instead, students should satiate their caffeine cravings at the Coffee Den, which boasts locally sourced ingredients, low prices, friendly staff, a flexible menu, and delicious drinks.
Yoga continues gaining popularity in the United States as both an art form, a relaxation technique and a therapeutic practice.
High Plains Fitness Center Coordinator, Amber Kavehkar teaches yoga classes both for credit and for fun. Students can attend Kavehkar’s flow yoga classes every Monday from noon to 1, free to fitness center members.
